Participating in the IDEF 2019 International Defense Industry Fair, Yeditepe Logistics Chairman Alp Tuğhan expressed his pride in Türkiye’s growing defense capabilities. Tuğhan emphasized that while the Turkish Armed Forces continue their effective fight against terrorism both domestically and across borders, the rapid development of the domestic and national defense industry stands out as a major source of pride. He highlighted that Turkish defense companies are now competing with global industry leaders, with several ranking among the world’s top 100 firms. Tuğhan also underlined Yeditepe Logistics’ commitment to representing Türkiye internationally. With the opening of Ankara and Dubai offices in 2016, the company set its goal to proudly carry the Turkish flag abroad. Yeditepe Cargo, the leading air cargo company in the Aegean Region, was awarded First Place in the Aegean Region by Turkish Airlines (THY), Pegasus Airlines and Malaysia Airlines. Receiving awards simultaneously from three major airlines, Yeditepe Cargo once again proved its leadership based on tonnage and profitability performance. The company also handles blood sample transportation for Ege University and Dokuz Eylül University. Turkey Ranks Second in Air Cargo Profitability According to 2014 data, Turkey ranks second globally in logistics revenue after the USA, with air cargo export revenues reaching USD 10.5 billion. 30% Growth and New Offices Yeditepe Cargo planned to close 2015 with 30% growth, open an Ankara office in 2016, and expand internationally with a Miami office. Yeditepe Taşımacılık introduced its services at the Logistech Fair held in İzmir in September 2023. Chairman Alp Tuğhan stated that the company ranked first on the Turkish Cargo list and third on the IATA list in the first eight months of the year. With new offices and vehicle investments in Germany and the Netherlands, Yeditepe now offers door-to-door delivery and cash-on-delivery services, aiming to support SMEs in European e-commerce markets.
